It is also relevant for the work of civil society movements. Gender refers to socially constructed differences between men and women. Sex refers to biological differences between men and women. Being socially constructed, gender differences vary depending on age, marital status, religion, ethnicity, culture, and so on. In taking account of gender, development practitioners and social movement activists are looking at disparities that exist in male and female rights, responsibilities, and voice in community and national levels. Men and women often have different priorities, preferences with respect to development, and be affected differently by development projects and campaigns. Blood as ONE

Through the centuries and through interactions with peoples of different cultures they form relationship. Relationship between people, cultures, and even countries. Filipinos had also made those kind of relationship. Since time in memorial one value that has not been emphasized and continued in our people’s education is the "Isang dugo"(One blood, one race) referring to our common origin in the past. This is one beautiful and endearing value that we must teach our children to help preserve the unity of our nation. The "Isang dugo" symbolizes that Filipinos value their friendship to other Filipino and even in other countries. These values mirror the Filipino, and it proves that Filipinos are rich in history and culture.  The month of November we annually celebrate Filipino Values Month. Let us celebrate and apply the Filipino Values every day of the year. This will help us keep ourselves together as one people of one blood. https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/ju...

This is the primary reason why countries celebrate this day on different dates, unlike many other International Days. According to what I have researched, Argentina has commemorated Domingo Faustino Sarmiento's death on 11 September since 1915; while in India Guru Purnima is traditionally observed as a day to venerate teachers, the birthday of the second president Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September) is also celebrated as Teacher's Day since 1962. Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and may include celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in educating us students, or ...

Independence Day

Image
http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/philippinehistory/philflag.JPG     One of the most celebrated holiday in the Philippines was the “Independence Day”. June 12, 1898 was the first celebration of Filipino Independence.           Independence Day is best event in the Philippine history because if no one will stand up and fight for our country, I think Spanish were still holding us from neck. I salute all the Filipino who sacrifice their own lives just to fight for our country so that we and the future generations will experience and enjoy the unique beauty of our country Philippines. Sad to say that nowadays, some Filipinos had forgotten and didn’t know the true meaning of Independence Day.         We should not forget all the sacrifices of Filipinos for our country instead pray for their souls and give thanks to them
