Blood as ONE
Through the centuries and through interactions with peoples of different cultures they form relationship. Relationship between people, cultures, and even countries. Filipinos had also made those kind of relationship.
Since time in memorial one value that has not been emphasized and continued in our people’s education is the "Isang dugo"(One blood, one race) referring to our common origin in the past. This is one beautiful and endearing value that we must teach our children to help preserve the unity of our nation. The "Isang dugo" symbolizes that Filipinos value their friendship to other Filipino and even in other countries.
These values mirror the Filipino, and it proves that Filipinos are rich in history and culture. The month of November we annually celebrate Filipino Values Month. Let us celebrate and apply the Filipino Values every day of the year. This will help us keep ourselves together as one people of one blood.
